Day 89

Day 89 (cdt 14): 14 miles

Happy Easter. I celebrated by remaining in my tomb for half the day.

I stayed at the davila ranch last night and woke up this morning to hell in a cell going on 5 feet from me in and around a campfire ring by chipmunks. They kept going at it all day too. My body was in such bad shape last night it was hard to fall asleep. My hips kept wanting to spasm and be uncomfortable but eventually my exhaustion gave in.

I hung out there resting up until around 4 then hiked the 14 miles into the toaster house in pie town.

I have to wait for the post office to open up tomorrow to get my food box in pie town which limited my miles today but I’m not mad. I was feeling pretty rough so a half day felt good. In the morning I worked on my plans a little bit and watched There Will Be Blood which I had downloaded. This inspired the caption from an unintentionally funny scene in there i.e. the last picture.

Disclaimer: I don’t actually hate most people. In fact, doing this has shown me how much I really miss people. But doing what I love and with modern technology, I never feel too far isolated
