Day 94

Day 94 (cdt 19): 28 miles

It was refreshing to not have it be freezing in the morning while I was getting going (guessing around 35). I lost the trail early in the day but then most of the day was walking on dirt roads so it was pretty easy.

I saw my first wolf today. It was a loner crossing the trail about 50 yards ahead of me. It was extremely uninterested in me and hardly gave me more than a glance.

Today was the 4th day in a row of 30+ mph winds all day. Normally I don’t complain about the wind too much but it is pretty annoying and draining.

Only drank 3 liters of water today. I passed no water so I made sure to ration what I had. I don’t feel that bad although according to my piss I’m pretty dehydrated.

I ended up stopping early (around 7:30) cause it looked like there was a decline for a while and i was starting to go into a burn area and didn’t want to have to camp somewhere with no shelter from the wind. I think it’s supposed to get down to 28 tonight and that’s in a town nearby so it’ll be colder out here. And especially if this damn wind doesn’t die down.
