Day 226 (HDT 40)

Day 224 (HDT 40): 16 miles

It was a quick day road walking on the Arizona Strip after starting out in the cold with a THICCC layer of frost on my tent. It was probably in the mid teens last night. We got into Colorado city and decided to stay in town for the night. The hardest part of the day was walking 3 miles from the grocery store to our hotel carrying a 12 pack of Dr Pepper.

I booked my flight for the 19th and threw in a lot of buffer days before in case things went wrong. We’ll get the end of the “official trail” in 2 days. Now it essentially ends at the boundary of Zion because the trail we are supposed to hike into the park had been closed for years. So we might extend the trip in zion, but really need to kill some time anyways.
