Day 111

Day 111 (pct 1): 11 miles

Didn’t get started until after 5pm at the Mexican border but it was a good and short day after that. 2 other people started at the border the same time as me and we even hiked together for a few hours. This was a nice change from the extreme isolation on the AT and CDT. In the first mile I saw as many hikers as my entire time on the CDT.

It wasn’t the most ideal first day on the PCT with off and on rain and getting wet feet and legs from overgrowth but it was still a good first day.

There is a lot more green down here than I expected. “There’s so much green I just wanna roll around in it!” -kangaroo jack all time scene

I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead. The revenge tour is underway and tomorrow is the first full day on the PCT, eskeetit
