Day 132

Day 132 (pct 22): 26 miles
I got about 5 hours of sleep and got up at 3 to be on the safe side and ensure I’d get to Kennedy meadows before 5 to pick up my package and ship stuff home before the closed. When my alarm went off it was not a good vibe. I was still tired as hell and all my stuff was soaked from condensation.
I trudged the 26 miles and got to Kennedy meadows around 2:30 with plenty of time to take care of logistics. 2nd day out of the desert and it rained again. Feeling a little tired after covering 97 miles in the last 2.5 days to get
My Sierra package before 5 today.
After getting my logistics done the day was a bit of a shit show and awfully inefficient. But I did meet some great people and a legendary trail angel named Legend who really helped me out with a few things. I was planning on leaving at like 3 in the morning but he’s making pancakes so now I think I gotta stay for that.
Bringing a lot of food for this next stretch so this will probably be the heaviest my pack will be on the whole trip! But this will be one of the best sections too. The Sierra is where I went on my first ever backpacking trip and found a passion. Going here is like going home.
I weighed myself today and was down below 185 so I’m down 30 pounds so far.
