Day 151

Day 151 (pct 41): 22 miles

I wanted to let my feet air out as long as possible so I slept in and got a really late start to the day. After getting moving around noon I had a good day. My feet were feeling a lot better. I actually didn’t feel pain with every step. I hope this can continue though. This was only the first day so my feet are still pretty clean and they were surprisingly dry today.

Today was just a little weird. There were sooo many people out for the weekend near Tahoe. It was probably the most people I’ve ever seen on trail in one day. I like seeing people but this was a little too much for me. Thankfully as I got farther from the trailhead they began to thin out more.

The mosquitoes got pretty hellish again toward the end of the day after not being bad for a while. I’m not really surprised since the trail is surrounded by lakes but still naively hoping they become less frequent.

It was a pretty uneventful day. It’s pretty easy hiking in this area with frequent views of beautiful lakes and not a ton of snow. It’s alright for me
