Day 190

Day 190 (pct 80): 36 miles

After cowboy camping I woke up at 5:30 to a beautiful sky. It was easier to wake up like this rather than cowering in my tent from a battalion of mosquitoes. I caught up to hammer after a few miles since he pushed farther last night.

Around midday I got to a cabin/shelter on trail which had a cooler of beer in it. This was some much needed trail magic. The cool thing about losing 35 pounds on trail and being dehydrated most of the time is that I can start buzzing after 1-2 beers. Needless to say the next few miles rolled on by.

Towards the end of the day, my legs started to tighten up and hammer wasn’t feeling great either. We ended up stopping a few miles before where we planned on going but it is what it is.

Now we just gotta get up early (ha) and push hard 28 miles to make it to town to resupply by a reasonable time.
