I’ve been getting some good rest the last few days. I took the Amtrak from Everett, WA to east glacier, MT. The train was way more expensive than I expected and the difference between coach and a sleeping car wasn’t too much so I decided to splurge. It ended up being great. Normally I just go for the cheapest option of anything but this was pretty boujee and nice for a change.

My boy @evanhass16 was road tripping out west and decided to meet me in glacier. I ended up having to wait another day for a permit cause all the campgrounds were full so we hung out for 2 days. And he’s gonna drive me to the northern terminus tomorrow cause he’s a real one.

The rangers giving permits didn’t really want to give me the campsites I wanted cause they said the mileage was too much. It’s hard to say “listen here buddy I just warmed up with the PCT and 3/4 of the AT. I can handle the mileage. If I have to hike 20 hours straight and sleep deprive myself I’ll do it” without sounding like an asshole. But they were helpful and we kinda met in the middle and I should do just around 30 a day but as beautiful as it is, I’ll be looking forward to getting out of glacier just so I don’t have to worry about which campsite to camp at. I usually don’t really decide until like 7-8 pm.

This is 2 more rest days than I was planning on and July 30th is later than I was hoping to start, but shit happens. Today, we ride
