Day 58 (ODT 26)

Day 58 (ODT 26): 26 miles

With the possibility of clear skies I actually awoke to my alarm to make it up for sunrise. It was nice to see, much like it’s nice to have a fan. But I’m just a friendly neighborhood hiker so I had to get hiking.

It was a quick 6 miles into the town of Rome. I chilled out and charged up for 7 hours, eating lunch and dinner, enjoying cell reception, and consuming as much Dr Pepper as possible.

I left town around 4, the hottest time of the day. It was 80 degrees and I felt like it was hot. I’m so soft now. It’s gonna be tough when it’s 90 in a couple days🥵

Around 7 I sat down to take a break and then a tummy ache came over me. I ended up sitting there for an hour before moving again, still not feeling great. I’m not sure what it was, couldn’t trace been the 2 eggs, sausage, country fried steak, muffin, double cheeseburger, fries, or 17 dr peppers. Weird coincidence

I walked through several big cows herds late in the day causing a lot of anguish. They were yelling left and right and running around in circles, but always running in the direction I was going. Not the brightest. There were a lot of cute calves. They seemed the ballsiest. They’d stand still until I got like 4 feet away and then run.
