Day 146 (PNT 51)

Day 156 (PNT 51): 14 miles

I got up at 7 after planning on getting up at 6. I had one mission for the day: make it into La Push to get good cell reception and watch the buckeye game. Mission accomplished.

There wasn’t really anywhere to camp in town but there was a guy that was trying to make his yard into a campground. It sounded like he made up the price on the spot when I asked him, but I really wanted to watch this game so he got me.

I walked to the store in town to pick up some Dr Pepper. I ended up meeting some local fishermen there and bought beer instead. I hung out there with them for a couple hours.

Then I went back to my camp for the night and saw a feast for the crows. I had left my bear can open cause it smelled bad and I wanted it to air out. I didn’t think it’d be a big deal cause I’d be back soon. But the crows had plucked out and eaten half my food. They ate my cookies, my pizza, and more.

Weird game for the bucks but a top 5 win is a top 5 win
