Day 3

Day 3: 23 miles

Had my first fall of the trip today. I was stepping down on an icy step and pulled a classic banana peel fall. All was good though.

It was a cold and misty morning without much visibility but it warmed up and became a beautiful day. Nice views from rocky and tray mountain.

Passed the “Swag of the blue ridge” whatever that means.

Ended the day at deep gap and this is significant because on my first (half) solo backpacking trip in December 2018 it took me like 11 days to get this far. This is day 3. Gotta keep the mileage in check now at the beginning but gonna keep truckin as much as I can.

This place is crawling with mice, better not eat through my sleeping bag or pack.
