Day 37

Day 37

Day 37: 27 miles

I only slept for a couple hours then got going again to try to finish up the day early to get out of the weather at a decent time. After losing the trail a few times I just started vertically climbing to save some time. Thankfully I ended up intersecting with the trail and it worked out.

The storm was no joke, it definitely snowed and sleeted, but not as much as it was supposed to. Finally the weather boys are wrong in the right direction.

When I got into town I dined at the pinnacle of fine eatery: little caesars. It was a nice appetizer for my real meal later.

With the combination of frozen shoelaces, micro spikes, and constantly getting caught in a fallen tree branches my shoelaces could not stay tied for the life of me. It felt like I had to retie them every five minutes. Eventually I just gave up and walked with them flopping everywhere

Hopefully the weather can stay nice for a while and I can finish out Virginia strong

Stayed with a friend of a friend and enjoyed my night indoors with a great meal. The eagerness of people I don’t even know to want to help is astonishing. People are so good

Song of the day: Nice for what-Drake
