Day 64

Day 64

Day 64: 17 miles

I went into Kent, CT where i did a small resupply and hung out for a few hours while I charged up electronics and downed a two liter of Dr Pepper and probably 3,000 calories of food.

While walking back to the trail a guy offered me a ride back in the bed of his pickup truck and a beer. Sipping on a Budweiser and feeling the breeze run through my hair in the bed of a truck was a mf vibe.

Then it was a short day of hiking with a nice easy river walk for a portion of it. With all this warm weather lately, most of the snow around here is melted for the most part. There will be patches of snow and ice, but it’s nothing like I was dealing with earlier. It looks like it should remain warm for a bit. Its been warm for a solid week so I just hope it’s melting a little bit up north too.

My life is a lie. While I was hanging out in Kent, a train passed through and the conductor was wearing a snapback, not a train conductors hat smh. I don’t even know what to believe in anymore.

Today was probably the first day of the trip where I got to camp and ate outside at the picnic table. This is better cause it keeps the food smells away from me and my sleeping bag but it’s always too cold and I get to camp too late. It was a nice change of pace

I should be getting my tent tomorrow so my flexibility will increase, although I still much prefer shelters just cause I’m lazy

Song of the day- what’s next-drake
Lawd this is the best drake since back to back. I heard it for the first and probably 20th time today
