Day 68
March 14, 2021

Day 68: 32 miles
I got a slightly later start today with daylight savings time. Or would it technically be an earlier start? Or is it concurrent cause time is a flat circle? Anyways it ended up being a pretty productive day. (If anyone’s got some good nerd podcasts on space time or something that will make my brain hurt lmk)
Any snow on trail was really hard packed with the cold temperature so it was good to walk on. There were still areas of ice but I was able to move well on the snow. Throughout the day there were several brief but harsh snow showers that I was not expecting. The sky would go from pretty blue with a few clouds to ominous gray in 10 minutes.
It was very windy throughout the day too. When I got to camp, the wind was around 30mph with higher gusts so that made setting up my tent for the second time on the trip really fun. Well this could technically be my second and third time because I got it all set up then it started to take flight and I had to redo it. It’s gonna be a chilly one tonight, around 10 degrees with high winds.
I was planning on only doing 24 miles today and staying in a shelter cause of the cold but sometimes you just gotta go hard and remind yourself that your metal.
Song of the day: all these things I hate-bullet for my valentine
