Day 7

Day 7: 23 miles

Before I left my dentist asked me if I was going to floss out here. I told her I would try. Ha!

This morning started with one of my least favorite sections of trail. The 3,000 foot climb out of the NOC is relentless. My day started out slow and didn’t speed up too much after that cause I was stressing about getting my permit for the PCT. Thankfully the permit is secured
Gotta pick up a package of food tomorrow then headed into the smokies! Let’s hope for a few days of good weather in there as it can be brutal this time of year.

Weather: low 30s morning but warmed up to 50, overcast all day
